  • HowTo test Appsuite

    Hi,

I have the following question. I wanted to test the current release together with th AppSuite.
After installing the latest 6.22 I setup everything as explained in the HowTo.
    The installation worked well.
So I was looking for the AppSuite and found some points.
    1) The current release (7.2x) needs grizzly
    2) the configure for grizzly is (at least for me) no so clear. I did not get it working neither for the OX
    nor for the App suite.

    3) Is the App Suite (7.2) free for testing, or will it only work with a valid license ?

Is there an HowTo for setting up everything (Ox+App Suite) like for the Xchange ?
I found the old Xchange docu very helpful, you could go through the steps and at the end
you had something working. For the Appsuite it's a little bit jumping between various docs.

But maybe I did not look at the right place ...

    Bye, Peer

    Hi,

AppSuite does not depend on Grizzly but features like OX Text requires it. Generally speaking Grizzly is the successor of our AJP connector towards the web server. There is some fine tutorial on Grizzly: http://oxpedia.org/wiki/index.php?ti...pSuite:Grizzly

Of course you can use AppSuite "for free" as long as you consider the license terms (GPL and CC). It works with a valid license but that does not include professional support nor proprietary extensions like for Outlook or ActiveSync.

There is a quick installation guide available for AppSuite as well: http://oxpedia.org/wiki/index.php?ti...e#quickinstall

Since we're adding more than just OX6 features to AppSuite (well, it consists of apps, right?) setup is not as straight forward as OX6 but following these guides, you should get a ready to use system.

    Cheers
    Martin

        Hi,

this is a known issue (check the forums) which will be resolved by 7.2.1 later this month. We have had some runtime dependencies to "documentconverter" which is a proprietary addon.

        Cheers

            How do you reopen it?

Opening a document opens the preview which what you likely do not have.
Editing should open the documents in the editor though.

              Hi
You are right. If i want to "open" i get that error.
              But edit works.

Any idea how to fix it? Btw, i can't "open" none of my files. Seems to be a problem with "oxodocumentconverter".
