    I have opened a new thread in "Open-Xchange Hacks" for my first idea of integration. it looks like a mammoth but if we can get it, it will a real boost for OX
    What do you think about it?

    @Ben
    Have you read my private message?

    @Stefan

    I agree to you Stefan, after a poll of a request it can be handled via Bugzilla, couldn't it?

    I think the right one is "Open-Xchange Hacks" or should there be a new one?

    Well, this forum is a nice place to discuss feature enhancements provided by the community (Discussion/Hacks Forum). Please feel free to report enhancements to Bugzilla, too. They will be reviewed by the product management and some other guys and maybe the'll be implemented to the "official" source by OX developers in corporation with the community.

    Was spricht dagegen diese Ideen an einer zentralen Stelle zu sammeln? Vielleicht kann die Community/können wir diese auch umsetzen?

    Ein WIKI mit einer Wishlist oder aber ein separates Forum mit den Vorschlägen und einer Abstimmung dazu so wie bei "NNTPServer for OX"?

    BTW: Ich war da und hab wirklich ein positives Gefühl mit nach Hause nehmen können. Danke an Martin Kauss und Benjamin Otterbach für die Zeit.

    Praises and the Future

    I'll also wirte in german, if there are any interest i'll try to translate

    Als erstes möchte ich mich dem anschließen, was altariq gesagt hat. Ich muss sogar gestehen, dass ich schweren Herzen mich mit Scalix beschäftigt habe. Es tat sich wirklich lange aus der Sicht der Community nichts. Da auch keine Screenshots oder so durchsickerten oder diskutiert wurden, wie es zum Beispiel zu OX5 war glaubte ich wirklich, dass OX sich wieder aus der Community zurück ziehen würde.
    Doch dann der Knall am 28.2 und es war auch klar, warum nichts durch gesickert war. 1&1 wird was dagegen gehabt haben. Marketing halt
    Umso erfreuter, ja gerade zu euphorisch, war ich, als ich mit meinem Eclipse durch das CVS browste. Es war wirklich da! Worauf ich schon solange gewartet hatte.
    Und erst dieses Frontend, überarbeitet Architektur, ein Admin-Interface! Ich war auf Wolke sieben.

    Ein ganz dickes Lob an alle aus dem OX-Team. Ich bin ein bekehrter Jünger.

    Umso mehr bedauere ich, dass ich dieses Jahr nicht auf die Cebit konnte. Ich hätte gerne bei euch am Stand vorbei geschaut.

    Noch einen persönlichen Gruß, an aller aus der "ersten" Stunde(Stefan, Markus, Ben), mit denen ich schon über SuSes Ticketsystem zu Beginn der SLOX-Zeiten Kontakt hatte

    Praise to the developers

    First i write it in german, i try to translate it later.

    Ein halbes Jahr lang passierte nichts im OX-Forum. Keine Updates, kaum Diskussionen und auch die Weiterentwicklungen stoppten.
    Oft kamen Fragen auf, ob es nun zu Ende sei mit OX und der Community. Immer wieder versprach man uns, dass es bald weiter gehen würde und dass man an etwas arbeite, dass das exisiterende weit übertreffen würde. So ganz konnte man nicht dran glauben. Ich hatte mich schon nach Alternativen umgeschaut als plötzlich: Die Homepage glänzte in einem neuen Licht. Auch das Forum war neu und ungewöhnlich und ich fragte mich, was das nur zu bedeuten hatte.
    Irgendwo las ich dann was von Hyperion. Himalaya war mir ja schon bekannt aber Hyperion musste was neues sein.
    Als ich mich dann an der OnlineDemo anmeldete, traff mich glatt er Schlag.
    Mit so einer Änderung hätte ich bei weitem nicht gerechnet.
    Aber ich muss ganz ehrlich sagen, dass das, was ich da gesehen habe, mich wirklich beeindruckt hat.
    Ausserdem ist mir sehr positiv aufgefallen, dass mehr Entwickler im Forum rumgeistern und Hilfestellung geben als jemals zuvor. Ein paar alte Gesichter, die schon lange present sind, sowie ein paar neue, die es nun endlich von ihren Schreibtischen ins Forum, zur Community geschafft haben.

    Dafür ein ganz großes Lob an die Entwickler.

    Ich hoffe, dass es genauso weitergehen wird.
Working...
