  • upgrade from Debian 6 to Debian 7

    Hi all,
I would like to upgrade our productive installation with appsuite 7.4.0 on a Debian 6 System to Debian 7 (wheezy).

My plan is, to install a fresh new Debian 7 wheezy and install the same open-xchange packages like on the Debian 6 System. After that I would restore the ox configuration, the filestore and the Mysql DB from the Debian 6 system.

Are there any recommandations or experiences how to do this?

    Thanks,
    Peter

I built a fresh wheezy a couple of weeks ago and used Squeeze file as well. Followed the howto pages found on OX page somewhere as well as another site somewhere with pretty much the same instructions.
Both gave me an error on the very last command which was to create/add the context, kept getting the database exists.

If you get success, let us know

I'm interested in the same process: I did the update of debian 5 to 6, and now I would like update to debian 7. I don't like a second update, and I would like install OX on a fresh debian 7 and then migrate my data and settings, but I can not find information how to do it.

If you get success, let us know

      Tanks,
