    Hallo,

i`m new to OX. I have experience in linux and want to install a groupware with OX. where cold i download the GPL-Version from OX? Is it the Version 0.8.x? At http://www.open-xchange.com under the comunity-Page are two unstable Versions. Isn`t there stable Version? And are there no language pakages for the german language?

I wold like to install OX on a root-Server.

There are two versions available. 0.8.x is the community version which is similar to the commercial OX5 server. 0.8.6-0 is the latest unstable version and I think this will be updated within a few weeks. This version comes with a lot of language packs with german and English being the default languages.

Then there is another version which is available from CVS only. It is a completely different product which is e.g. used by 1&1 at the moment. The CVS version is a snapshot of the current development and you have to compile it yourself. It is quite likely that the sources compime but it is also likely that some bugs will prevent you from installing it successfully or some functionality might be broken. On the other hand, there is a discussion thread about a VMware image which is preconfigured and working well.
