  • SyncML and Community Edition

    Hi Forum,

I have downloaded the vmware version from ox and try to install the OX SyncML Extender.

I followed the steps from this page and installed the Debian package libtomcat5-java, for the missing catalina-ant5.jar

    Code:
    cd /tmp
    svn co http://www.open-xchange.org/oxtensions/syncml/trunk OXSyncML
    cd OXSyncML
    mkdir lib
    cp -v /opt/open-xchange/lib/*.jar lib/
    ant war
but by compile i become the follow output

    Any Ideas?

    Thomas

I guess you have downloaded an image of Hyperion. The OXtender for SyncML only works with Hymalia (0.8.x-x). Right now there is no SyncML for Hyperion yet.

        here you go:

Note that his release is fundamentally different from the hyperion release. This applies to functionality, user interface, backend services, dependencies, installation and so on.

There is a 30-day trial version of the commercial Open-Xchange Server 5.
The installation manual for the Community Edition is spread across the Internet i fear. That is one disadvantage we did not have with Hyperion which has a up-to-date documentation/installation manual.

Currently it is being worked on a new mobility solution for Open-Xchange. But there is not yet something like a target date.

This looks like the phone only supports SyncML 1.2.
The SyncML OXtender for OX 5 only supports SyncML 1.1.

No official news yet. We are still working on "something". I guess we'll have some public news (and some technology to play with) within the next 2 months.
