  • How do I restart Cyrus?

    V.1.2. cyrus-imapd

I made the changes in /etc/imapd.conf:

    allowplaintext: yes
    unixhierarchysep: yes
    sasl_pwcheck_method: saslauthd
    sasl_mech_list: PLAIN LOGIN
    admins: oxadmin
    loginrealms: example.com
    autocreatequota: 1024

    now, restart cyrus.

But the instructions don't say how to Restart Cyrus???

    Help.

      /etc/init.d/cyrus2.2 restart

      That didn't work ... :O(

      root@ubuntu:/etc# /etc/init.d/cyrus restart
bash: /etc/init.d/cyrus: No such file or directory

But it did make me think and managed to figure it out ... :O)

      root@ubuntu:/etc# cd init.d
      root@ubuntu:/etc/init.d# dir c*.*
      checkfs.sh checkroot.sh console-screen.sh cyrus2.2
      root@ubuntu:/etc/init.d# /etc/init.d/cyrus2.2 restart
      Stopping Cyrus IMAPd: cyrmaster.
      Waiting for complete shutdown....
      Starting Cyrus IMAPd: cyrmaster.
