what is the differences the appliance and the server edition?

can i manage our users (create, delete, modify) and see a server performance monitor both the appliance and the server edition?

we have 300 users, and an existing lotus notes server
can we migrate our e-mails, groups, etc....?
we don't want to use client programs (for example outlook) in the client side, just the web browser

    thanks

    hi,
with SE you don't get a graphical admin interface to manage users/groups/acl...
...but what you get are powerful commandline tools! SE needs of course more knowledge for back office processes (you have to install everything).

appliance edition comes as "all-In-One" solution - put DVD into a computer and all should work (admin GUI, windows integration, performance graphs ...)

Of course you can migrate from lotus notes - that is what we did 3 years ago. With your notes server you got also an imap server (i think must be loaded manually on the notes server commandline) - with that additional notes feature you can use imapcopy on serverside for all users ... or another email programm that can handle at least two accounts (one notes and one OX6) and every user has to copy mails by itself.

    regards
