  • problem with imap authentication plugin

    Hello,

I'm trying to login with imap authentication, but after installation with yum on centos. I get an "Error: 400 - Bad Request".

If i'm looking at the log of the mailserver, it looks like there is no connection to the imap server at all. while it is locally installed on the same server as open-xchange.

    Can someone please help me.

You have more than one process running on port 8009, maybe a second ox instance or a tomcat?

          Greetings

Yes, I had tomcat running on the server. I've shut the program down, but now I get another error:

Error: User testuser1 could not be found in context 1. (LGI-0012, 1623025724-31)

I made a context with the following command:

            createcontext -A oxadminmaster -P password -c 1 -u oxadmin -d "Context Admin" -g Admin -s User -p password --addmapping domain.com -e oxadmin@domain.com -q 1024

My understanding of the authentication plugin is that it will authenticate on the imap server, not the context database.

The plugin will check user credentials against the IMAP server, the user still exists at the database. If the authentication does not work, please capture the traffic on port 143 or whatever port your imaps server is using.

              Greetings

Thanks, it seems I can log in. But now I have the following problem:

Start page, Calendar, Tasks and InfoStore are locked/disabled.

                  Please try

                  /opt/open-xchange/sbin/changecontext -c 1 --access-combination-name all -A oxadminmaster -P password

                    Thanks for your help!

But the problem of this setup is that a user can't change its password in open-xchange, because the password on the imap server doesn't get updated by the change-password action. It looks like a design flaw.
