  • Strange issues with 3ware 9690SA-4I

The system is configured hw. raid 1 using 3ware 9690SA-4I raid controller.

    Starting the system gives:

    "Waiting for root file system"

and after big dealy going into the rescue shell...

Rebooting , it boots normally, sometimes not.

    -------------------------------------------

    My fstab:

    /dev/mapper/vg_ucs-rootfs / ext3 acl,errors=remount-ro 0 1
    proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
    /dev/sda1 /boot ext3 defaults,acl 0 0
    /dev/sda2 none swap sw 0 0

    My grub-s menu.list default:

    title UCS, kernel 2.6.26-ucs20-amd64
    root (hd0,0)
    kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.26-ucs20-amd64 root=/dev/mapper/vg_ucs-rootfs ro root2fstype=ext3 root=/dev/mapper/vg_ucs-rootfs splash=silent vga=791
    initrd /initrd.img-2.6.26-ucs20-amd64
    savedefault
