  • Documentation about ldapauth.properties

    Hi

    I'm am totaly frustrated because i am trying OpenXchange 6 working with an exististing Postfix/Dovecot Installation with OpenLDAP since one week ago. Before i remove OX completley, maybe i will get this time some help. I need documentation to write some settings in the ldapauth.properties.

    OK this seems to be correct
    basedn = o=domains,dc=localmailer

    For a contextadmin i need something like this
    domainadmin_dn = o=domainAdmins,dc=localmailer

    And for login with OX inside LDAP i have to setup a User with a Password

    bind_dn = cn=vmailadmin,dc=localmailer
    bind_pw = find_the_password_by_google

    any suggestions?

    kind regards Darko

    Hi,

    Some other prerequisites need to be done to get your setup working. LDAP Authentication only works with a single context. Several contexts are not supported. Your single context needs to be configured as 'defaultcontext'. User logins for OX needs to be the same as the login on LDAP. All users must be located in the same subtree in LDAP.

    Maybe enabling the debug loglevel in LDAP helps to find the cause of the problem.

    Regards,
    Marcus

      I forgot some point.

      You need a login when connecting to LDAP before a user bind is done? This is currently not possible. The initial connection to the LDAP server must be doable for OX with an anonymous bind.
