  • Business Mobility field mapping problems Nokia E51/N97

    hi,

Nokia E51/N97 + ox business mobility:

    found the following problems:

    1) OX private mobile telephone number is never synced to mobile

    2) private email in OX will become business email on mobile device. Changing business email adress on mobile: mobile value was saved into private email on OX! So these two fields are are fully swaped.

    3) business email in OX will become E-Mail on mobile - instead of business email (could be ok) - way back from mobile to OX will update e-Mail (geschäftlich)

    4) OX Telephone (business 2) is synced to mobile phone business

Not that big problems but at least the first (no private mobile telephone) is annoying.

    regards

    Hi,

thanks for the report! The OXtender for Business Mobility implements the ActiveSync protocol, it's equal to all mobile phones and their ActiveSync clients. Since the client software (Mail For Exchange by Nokia) is not in our control we can't fix it *if* it turns out to be a client issue. Gonna check this asap and let you hear from our findings with other phones.

    Greetings

Confirmed the switch of "private mail" and "business mail" and the lack of synchronization of "private mobile phone". Now investigating if this might be caused by the protocol implementation or the client.

thank you. I guess you are right - the nokia client could/should be improved - eg. also html emails are displayed completely crowded! But of course this is not your part.

Wish you a happy new year 2010 and a lot of successful answered forum tasks ;-)

        regards

          Well, thanks :-)

also checked Windows Mobile, there the fields are not swapped, but private mobile is missing.

          Guten Rutsch!

                  Hi,

this should be fixed with 6.16, have you already updated?

                  Greetings

                    hi martin,
                    yes we already upgraded to

                    GUI Version: 6.16.0 Rev4
                    Server Version: 6.16.0-Rev4

Unfortunately, we have the same problem (tested with a E51 device):

                    a) Private mobile number is never synced

                    b) OX Field "Telefon (geschäftlich 2)" goes to E51 Mobiltel.(dnstl.)

All the rest seems to be ok - even some other improvements like attachements on a nokia e51!

                    Best regards
