  • Question on sieve and open-xchange

    Hi there,

    I have installed a OX with success and everything is running so far.
    Now I would like to add additional sieve filter rules.
    I think I have to add them into the "oxfilterscript.script" files.

    Here is an Example:

    # Generated by OX (remove this line if you edit this manually)
    require "fileinto";
    require "vacation";

    if header :is ["X-Spam-Flag"] ["Yes"]
    {
    fileinto "Spam";
    stop ;
    }

    I would like to add the filter that mails with the receiveraddress junk@hostname
    will be moved to a folder named Junk.

    I added this block to the scriptfile:

    if header :contains ["to"] ["junk@hostname"]
    {
    fileinto "Spam";
    stop ;
    }

    But finally nothing happend. Do I have to call a certain tool, that accepts the changes of the oxfilterscript.script file?

    Thanks in advance.

    Best,

    Tobi

      Thanks for your fast reply.

      I tried this, but then I realized, that I have a problem in my ox config.

      Here is my setup so far.
      On the mailserver I have an old ox installation (04/2008).
      Then I setup a new OX6-Frontend (6.14) on a different webserver. This
      is working pretty well, I can see and modify the calender and infostore entries.
      But I have a problem modifying the filter settings in the frontend.

      When I try to add a new Filter I get the following warning:

      Error while communicating with the sieve server xxx.yyy.zzz.fff at port 2000 for user USER in context 1 (MAIL_FILTER-0015, 1791538080-149821)

      Do you have any idea?

        Hi,

        please post your cyrus.conf, or do you use another mailserver?

          Hi,

          attached you find the cyrus conf. It should be pretty much the debian
          standard configuration.
          The only line I changed was the line.
          sieve cmd="/usr/lib/cyrus/bin/timsieved" listen="sieve" prefork=0 maxchild=100

          Thanks!

            Hi,

            please change this to

            sieve cmd="/usr/lib/cyrus/bin/timsieved" listen="localhost:sieve" prefork=0 maxchild=100

            and restart services.

            Post your results.
