  • need information on the capabilities of OpenXchange 5

    Hi All,

I am director of a platform openxchnage version 5 installed under the following architecteur:

A web server with the following configuration:

    - Apache 2.2.3 With Connector mod_jk 1.2.30.
    - A RAM 8 Gega bytes.
    - Dell PowerEdge 2950 dual processor.

An application server with the following configuration:
    - HP ML350 dual processor.
    - An 8 Gega Bytes RAM.
    - OpenXchange (OpenLDAP 2.30, Tomcat 5.0.28, Postgress).

    I am looking for:

    - How many concurrent user sessions can suporte this architecteur?

    Thanks

    Hi,

OX5 is EOL, so there are no meaningful sizing numbers for modern hardware. You might find information for OX6 over here: http://software.open-xchange.com/OX6...whitepaper.pdf. Those numbers don not apply to OX5! OX6 is much better when it comes to user density, hardware utilization, performance and scalability. Please contact your support or sales representative for detailed information.

    Thanks

        Hi,

that depends on your hardware. I would say 500-1000 per server max.

        Greetings

            Hi,

OX5 is not longer supported and EOL. OX6 is able to integrate AD and OpenLDAP address books and also authenticate against AD and OpenLDAP.

            Greetings

              HI,

              Think you for your reply;

Is that means that we not have a possibilité to have a response about OX5 and active directory ?

              think you
