  • A little lost with translations installation

    Hi everyone.
i'm new to Open Xchange and so far I love it. I managed to install it over a Debian 6 box and its working very well but my problem is that I need to transtate it into Spanish and I don't know how to. I already downloaded several packages and installed them with apt-get (i.e. apt-get install open-xchange-lang-es-es) but it doesn't work.

What am I doing wrong? if there's need for a Spanish translation I would very pleased to help.

    Thank you very very much.

    Hi,

the -lang-es-es package contains translations for server messages. To translate the UI, install -gui-lang-es-es and switch the language at user configuration.

    Greetings

      Hi Martin Braun,

Thank you very very very much for your quick reply. I did install the three of the language files (lang, gui and help) but I don't know why it didn't work. I read your answer, I did an 'apt-get install --reinstall open-xchange-gui-lang-es-es' and now it works!

I don't know if it was the order that I did it or what but...it's amazing.

      Thanks a million!!!!!

I just managed to install App Suite 7.2.2 Rev7 working just fine, just want to know if there is a Spanish GUI file, I've tried searching through the forums and the internet with no luck.

I am able to yum install the open-xchange-lang-es-es, but the open-xchange-gui-lang-es-es seems not being available at the repositories.

        [root@localhost ~]# yum install open-xchange-gui-lang-es-es

Is the translation for Spanish available yet?

Awesome, thank you, I simply was too dumb to find it by myself... Sorry.
