  • Community Edition and WebDAV/InfoStore

    Hey,

is it possible to access the InfoStore through WebDAV with the community edition? http://IP_of_OX/servlet/webdav.infostore exists and gives a 0-byte file.

    Hi,

I have the same problem, in the latest version of the OX App suite.
When accessing the datastore via http://IP_of_OX/servlet/webdav.infostore I get a 0-byte file.
Any idea how I can solve this?

      Hi,

you need a WebDAV capable file manager (finder, konqueror, explorer...) to use it. The browser will not work as a file manager.

      Cheers

        Hi,

I have the same issue, with my new install.
So basically when I access http://ip_of_ox/servlet/webdav.infostore, I enter my username and password which succeeds, then a 0 byte file is downloaded. That's it. I do not see my files.
I have owncloud installed at the moment and I want to replace it with the OX App Suite but Webdav is really a must for me.
Any ideas how to solve it?

It is possible in general. Hard to say why it apparently does not work for you w/o further information.
If it works it should immediately ask for authentication and not deliver a 0-byte file.

            Sorry for the late reaction.
It seems that webdav seems to work properly with certain webdav clients. It works properly if I try to mount the webdav folder via Finder under macosx and also via an iphone app called iStorage and I can access my files via webdav.

But when I try to access my files via webdav via firefox or safari under macosx I get the 0 size file called "webdav.infostore" after authentication. Also when I append a slash after infostore I it tries to download a 0 size file. Strange. Any idea why it seems not possible via a browser?

Well, mainly because the browser triggers a HTTP GET request and is not a fully featured WebDAV client. That interface is intended for file manager rather than browsers. You may use direct links to files to download them after authentication.
