  • EAS com.openexchange.usm.eas.uid_prefix property

    Hi,
    i recently noticed in the eas.properties this block:
    Code:
    # A unique random hex code must be specified to uniquely identify
    # this OX server (cluster) to generate globally unique IDs for
    # appointments.
    com.openexchange.usm.eas.uid_prefix=0f0f0f0f0f0f0f0f0f0f0f0f0f0f0f0f0f
    But I'm running It with the default values because in the installation manual it's not said to make a change to this uid:

    Is this a problem?
    I need to change this value? and if i make a change something will stop working?

    Thanks
    Giuseppe

    Hi,

    there is no need to change it, if you only use one OX instance with(in) your database/network. We don't describe all possible parameters at the installation guides since it does not relate to installation.

    Cheers
    Martin
