  • Infostore Export and Publish including all document versions?

    Situation:
    - ox6 and appsuite are offering publishing Infostore, but in ox6 published folder is not shown as published for users logged in app suite view - and the other way around. E.g. publish a folder in appsuite view an then change to ox6 and look for the publish info - it looks like nothing is published.

    - no option for publishing older versions of documents like a history view

    - text entries with no attachment included (knowledge entry) are showing a link and refere to an empty page (feature or bug - nobody knows...)

    - webdav connect doesn't make it better: no versions visible, no knowledge entries available, opening files throws errors (is it a feature or bug?)

So how can a user export his data as readable files including all versions?

    Outlook:
    - OX will offer a solution - ?
    - Planing our own tool for the filestore/ Infostore as an export option for all folders including all files readable with all versions

Or is Infostore skiped in App Suite 2015 and document management will be included as an add-on?

Does somebody else need an export tool for the filestorage?

I'm not sure how to understand this but just checked and I see my publications in both interfaces.
For bugreports please use the support procedure if you are entitled or bugzilla directly w/o any SLA.

    This was never possible.
I guess you have an account manager where you can bring feature requests to our attention?
Unfortunately raising them here is most likely not enough to get attention for them.

I think that type of infostore object (just the object w/o a file) is meant to disappear with App Suite more or less. That's a subtle difference between OX6 and App Suite.

See above. But normal files should not throw an error. That sounds like a bug.
WebDAV never had file-less infostore objects so it's not a change at least.

We are trying to improve the Files/Drive functionality but cannot provide everything at the same time.
We aim for a usable solution to provide cloud storage via that component but there is still room for improvement. There are some to come and development is always ongoing.

      Hi,
We asked if someone else is interested in what we asked (subject of this thread).
We listed the behaviors we found with using Infostore publishing, export, WebDav... to explain that the actual solutions are not satisfying for us/ all our customers.

We report bugs in bug.open-xchange.com or to the support but this is primary a feature request to the community.

The webdav bug with errors while writing/reading files is not nice and one reason to look for further solutions.
Btw: we tested webdav (linux and windows) on ox.io and got the same errors... Maybe ox.io is out of date, we don't know.
