how to directly access OX LDAP?

Hi,

We have some other systems where we would like to use the same credentials like in OX.

Some beginner questions:
Can we authenticate directly against the OX LDAP or do we need e.g. OXLDAPSync and e.g. a OpenLDAP?
My server name is mail.usegroup.de, the mail domain usegroup.de --
What values would I put e.g. in BaseDN, relative DN, UID respectively group attribute and bind user/bind password?
