Open-Xchange releases OX App Suite v8.24

This new release provides an update for OX App Suite v8.24. With every release of Open-Xchange's products we try to enhance functionality, improve stability, refine the user experience, and make operations easier.

Key Enhancement in OX App Suite v8.24

• Improved Calendar Views on Mobile Devices - We are thrilled to introduce an exciting enhancement to your mobile calendar experience. Allow us to present our dynamic mobile week view, carefully crafted to streamline your weekly navigation effortlessly. Our updated mobile monthly view is also ready to enrich your daily routine with its enhanced details. Enjoy the journey of efficiency and elegance as you effortlessly navigate through your schedule with style and ease.
• New Category Browser - In this release we have introduces a completely new concept of information tagging and browsing. It is now possible to “Tag” any item in OX App Suite (e.g. emails, appointments, tasks and contacts). For example, you can tag items as “Urgent”, “For Meeting X”, “For End of Year Tax” etc. You can then, in a new search view, simply look for a category and see all the related items. For example, search for “For Meeting X” and you will see all the relevant emails, appointments, tasks and people needed for that meeting. General Information - Breaking Changes

• Warning: The default memory sizing for the Java-based App Suite Middleware has been changed from 8192 MB (8 GB) to 2048 MB (2 GB). Installations currently running without this setting explicitly defined in their configuration might break. Please set the memory size explicitly in your configuration to avoid any issues. • Google has officially announced the deprecation of the existing HTTP API for sending push notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM), effective from June 20, 2023, with plans to shut it down on June 21, 2024.
