Open-Xchange releases OX App Suite v8.29

This new release provides an update for OX App Suite v8.29. With every release of Open-Xchange's products we try to enhance functionality, improve stability, refine the user experience, and make operations easier.

Enhancements in OX App Suite v8.29

We are pleased to introduce the latest enhancements for OX App Suite. These are mainly focused on optimizing the user experience, technical performance, and reducing user accounts management effort.

• OX App Suite on your device - As part of our ongoing efforts to improve usability and onboarding, we have introduced a new feature to help users install OX App Suite on their devices, just like an app. The new wizard automatically detects the device and provides tailored instructions on how to install it. The wizard can be triggered from the settings menu ("Install OX App Suite like an app…") or, if you are on a mobile device, a header banner appears asking if you want to "Install OX App Suite like an app". By installing OX App Suite like an app users get app-like experience, a home screen/dock icon, and a faster experience.

General Information - Breaking Change

• The file "tokenlogin-secrets" has been removed as a configuration source. It has been replaced with a set of lean configuration options. See SCR-1407 for detailed information: https://documentation.open-xchange.c....html#scr-1407
• Please note that the pre-information, that was formerly announced, about "Minimum required Redis version" will now be postponed. When more information is available Open-Xchange will let you know in one of the upcoming updates. However Open-Xchange still encourages administrators to move to Redis v7.4 as preparation for this.
• Pre-Information - Hazelcast is only required for OX Documents from OX App Suite v8.30 - As of the next version of OX App Suite (v8.30), that is due to be released at the end of October, Hazelcast will only be required for OX Documents.
