    OpenXChange. License in Community Edition

    Hi @ all.

    is the community edition of the open xchange server not free to use? it installes a license module. Are there any restrictions to that version? (60days trail etc).

    i could not figure it out in the wiki.

    and ist the version in the bulid service of opensuse free?

    Hi,

    there is no restriction, except the license terms of the GPL and CreativeCommons.

      Are the versions of OX installed with "communtiy installers" also free to use?

        You can use them under the terms of the GPL and CreativeCommons. So you can do nearly anything with the Open-Xchange, only reselling is not allowed as far as I understand the CreativeCommons used (I'm no lawyer ).

        If there are installers with tell you anything other please inform us so we can have a look at it.

          The open-xchange-gui package has this CC license applied:



          whereas the rest is licensed under GPLv2.
