My Own Button in Main Toolbar

I want add some my own button in main toolbar. In which way I can do this?

There is no official API, but the necessary classes are accessible from plugins. Get the GUI source code and look at the files js/wtk/init_toolbar_*.js and js/wtk/classes/*.js
