Default Special Characters in createuser command

    Hello again,

I would like to migrate my current users to OX6. They currently have
    special folders containing special characters:

The folder trash is called in german "Müll".

Now I want to pass this folder name to the createuser command in the
    parameter --mail_folder_trash_name.

How is the syntax for special characters? (e.g. INBOX.M\üll does not work)

Any help is very welcome because I would not like to have all the users
    trash folders to be renamed.

    Ulf

    Inbox.Müll should work.
Escaping the "ü" will NOT work.

Of course you need to check that you have an UTF8 enabled console, ISO8859-15 does not work.

    Thumbs up

    Hello Carsten,

    thank You very much!!!

I opened a terminal console on my openSuse 10.3 and switched to
UTF-8 via menue "settings -> encoding".

Then the parameter worked: --mail_folder_trash_name Müll

    Thanks - danke!

    Ulf
