Open-Xchange Releases Open-Xchange Appliance Edition Update 2
Today the Open-Xchange Appliance Edition just got better with the release of Update 2. We are announcing the new release which includes the most recent versions of Open-Xchange Server 6 (OX6), the common base for the products OX HE (Hosting Edition) and OX SE (Server Edition), the Integration of the Univention Corporate Server and the new Univention Corporate Server 2.2.

Please Note:
- The updated VMware Image will be available within the next days.
- An integrated backup user interface will be implemented as an added component to next update release.
Online Update Process:
Your active maintenance subscription entitles you to the newest security updates and functionalities of the Open-Xchange Appliance Edition using the online update. Please follow the instructions below to install the latest packages:
1. Click on Component "ox"
2. Enter User Name and Password as registered within the LDB: https://ldb.open-xchange.com
3. Click the "Enabled" check box
4. Apply changes and click on "Set"
5. Under "Release information" click on "Check for updates"
6. Click on "Install this update" to upgrade to UCS 2.2.
Important:
The upgrade process takes about 30 minutes. Do not move away from the upgrade page otherwise your session will be lost. An upgrade session can also be lost due to no activity for longer than the configured time-out. The only allowed activity during update process is to click "Refresh". You can configure and change the time-out value in the "Univention Management Console" by searching for umc/web/timeout (default 300 seconds) under "Univention Config Registry". If you've moved away from the page by mistake you can still always check if the page is accessible in another window or tab.
7. Under "Components" click on "Check for updates"
8. Click on "Install this update" to upgrade to Open-Xchange AE Update 2
9. Use the Univention Management Console to reboot
