This is the Release of Open-Xchange Appliance Edition Update 5. This Update includes support of Open-Xchange OXtender for Business Mobility and Open-Xchange v. 6.12.

If you have purchased the new OXtender for Business Mobility on
you can install and configure the new OXtender with the following steps:
After installation an extra check box will appear in UDM under "User settings" where you can switch on mobility access for individual users.

- The update can be applied to all OXAE releases
- Please enter your username/password first under the component called* "OX" and activate it.
- The update requires a reboot

- Click on "Online Updates"
- In the online-updates module of UMC, under Release information, click on* check for updates
- Click on "Install this update"
- Under Security updates, click on "Check for updates"
- Click on "Install this update"
- Under OX component, click on "Check for updates"
- Click on "Install this update"
- Reboot
Installation steps for OXtender for Business Mobility (optional)
If you have purchased the new OXtender for Business Mobility on
you can install and configure the new OXtender with the following steps:
- Please log out users before installation, as the groupware will be restarted.
- Enter your username/password under the component "oxmobility" in UMC|Online Updates
- Apply and Click on "Check for updates" (to refresh the packages list).
- Start the UMC Packet Management to install the module
- Enter "univention-ox-usm" into the Pattern field
- Click on search
- Click on package to install
