why reboot after the last hotfix installation?

Hi

I've installed the last hotfix (postfix). Why a reboot is neccessary after the hotfix installation? Only the postfix package is replaced and a stop and restart of the service should be enough!?

Can someone explain this, please?

Just because the online update cannot differentiate between what kind of updates have been applied, it suggests to restart
the system to be on the save side.
An experienced administrator can of course manually restart all required services.
