Restore (migrate) email from old ox 5020 (hymailia) to OX AE

Hello!

I would like to restore (migrate) emails from old ox 5 (hymalia) to our new server OX AE. On old ox (hymalia) we do backups of imap folders ( var/spool/imap and var/lib/imap). Is there any chance to migrate (restore) this emails to our new OX AE server? Or is there any other chance to do that? Is there any user guide for this? Any help would be good.

I did it the "easy" way as I wanted a clean system without any migration debris...

Therefore I asked the IMAP users to download all their mails locally to their computer (eg with thunderbird) and then backed up via outlook and ox the contacts.

After that a clean install, setting up all the users and copying back all the messages...done.

Was fast, easy, and of course secure.

You can also use tools like imapsync to move mailboxes without user interaction.
