Open-Xchange Releases OX App Suite Community Version
Open-Xchange, maker of communication and collaboration software for the mobile-app economy, today released the community version of OX App Suite.
OX App Suite delivers a set of applications that supports easy management of email, contacts, calendars, media and all documents, optimizing workflow and productivity in this era of information overload. With the integration of Google Mail, Hotmail, Facebook and LinkedIn, users benefit from intuitive communication and sharing across all devices while ensuring that data stays secure in a central storage.
Open-Xchange´s software code can also be used to set up an on-premise installation in educational institutions, public sector organizations and SME’s to deliver a cloud service currently used by over 60 million users. It gives the freedom to move data between providers or from a hosted solution into an on-premise installation.
Open-Xchange expects the first cloud service providers to deploy OX App Suite to their customers by the end of Q1, 2013. Users of the commercial versions of OX6 are recommended to start planning and testing to move and upgrade with the Commercial Version of OX App Suite, which is scheduled for release in March, 2013.
