Difference between Authentication LDAP and ldapsync

    Hello,

I try to test the OX6. We have already an ldap-Server so I want to athenticate the users against the LDAP-Server.
But what ist the difference between authentication throu ldap over open-xchange-authentication-ldap and oxldapsync?

    Where are the differences?

    Regards

    Daniel

open-xchange-authentication-ldap does the authentication against ldap.

oxldapsync syncs the user data from ldap to the ox database. It creates ox users.

Without users in ox, authentication cannot happen.
