Hi,
this is by intention, even if you create a new folder below "public folder", you probably don't want anyone to see it but just some special users or groups. This way we help to protect the privacy of those data by leaving the permission management to the creator and not doing any automated permission settings that may be unwanted.
Public folders is a special case because it is a "root" folder. Permissions for other folders like your personal calendar are inherited automatically to subfolders. This also works for sub-sub folders of the "public" folder.

Howto transmit folder-rights
Hello,
my question is: is it possible to transmit folder-rights to subfolders and items below? In my case the folder "public infostore" has "all users"-rights. Subfolders and sub-items, which I create, have only my user in the user-list and only I can access and see these Items and folders.
Is it a bug or is it configurable?Tags: None
