  • Clarification about which is the Open Source free edition

Hi, I'd like to clarify what exactly is the Open Source free edition, mentioned as being available for private use.

Firstly am I correct in saying this called Hyperion? Secondly, is this URL the correct place to follow the installation of this free edition?

Thanks for any clarification you can give me, as I am new OE, and cannot find out as much as I would like.

    Hi,

there is no "Open Source Free With Extra Cheese" Edition. All the packages and source code you can get are licensed under the terms of GPLv2 (Server) and CreativeCommons (GUI, http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/2.5/). The differences to commercial offerings are support, dual licensing, training and so on.

Yes the URL is a valid installation guide for Open-Xchange Server 6.

    Greetings

Many thanks - that's cleared it all up for me.
