We already have an archive. It's called CVS. man cvs says:

-D date_spec

Use the most recent revision no later than date_spec. date_spec is a
single argument, a date description specifying a date in the past.

Hi Community,

i am currently thinking about contributing some kind of daily snapshot archive. I read some postings about the problem that it is not possible to take a step back when the cvs evolves. Is there some interest about it? Most infrastructure for this is available yet.
