LDAP Authentication

There is no official way. Actually oxldapsync was never official.
Using LDAP authentication is not the issue but it's about provisioning users into App Suite. Since App Suite in itself is meant to be behind a global IDM (or alike) it assumes that this system takes care to keep LDAP and App Suite in sync via APIs. So no out of the box solution here, sorry.

this is not "offical" but I use the authentication against an IMAP Server, it authenticate against smtp. And smtp authenticate against LDAP

Hi,

we are running the OX App suite with LDAP authentication backend together with ox-ldap-sync.
Unfortunately, the support for ox-ldap-sync has been dropped and since an upgrade of the LDAP server it stopped working.

The major issue now is to create users / groups in the groupware, since it does not sync them on active login, as many other software does.
My question is: What is the "official" way to use LDAP authentication, or the official way to get the users into the app suite?
