  • FC6 OX Install

It seems that OX is oriented around Debian and Ubuntu distributions. However, I'm in a RedHat/Fedora environment and I'd really like to try OX on FC6.

I've seen the generic installation instructions here -> http://wiki.open-xchange.com/wiki/in...e_Installation and the entry in the WiKi for FC5 here -> http://www.hypepage.de/ox/ and the FC1 to 4 entries here -> http://sietse.net/ox-howto/

They seem very different to the generic instructions that I started following. Is there a similar set of installation instructions for FC6 or should I adapt the FC5 ones?

I'd be keen to hear from other FC6 (or FC7) users who have tried OX.

    Many thanks

    Ken

        Hi,

Fedora should work as well as any other Linux-like operating system. I started researching to build a Fedora installer but they do not deliver a sun java 1.5 jdk package (not even at a non-free repository). Thats a major drawback for the installer as it makes user interaction mandatory at this point. Nevertheless i am pretty sure that it is possible to get OX working at Fedora.

        Greetings.
