Mail Problem

Good day
First, sry for my bad english ^^ because i come from germany

I have installed the open xchange under debian etch. Without any problems with the installer. But I have one very big problem.

The testuser can write emails to anyone. But when I create a new user then the new user couldn't get any mails and couldn't send any mails

I don't know what it is.

Please help me.

I create the users over the webinterface.

Are there any entries at the log file (/var/log/open-xchange/open-xchange-admin.log.0) that show errors?

Mhh sry I couldn't see any error in this log file. But I must have to say that I made the installation for the second time and booth installation have the same problem. I have installed Debian netinst with the installer of the ox community edition under vmware.

I had also the same problem. You used the installer with debian, so am i. My problem was that amavis was not installed. So i could receive email, but couldn't send one.
There were two ways to solve this problem: Install Amavis with:

apt-get install amavisd-new

or uncomment following in /etc/postfix/master.cf:

smtp inet n - - - - smtpd
# -o content_filter=smtp-amavis:[127.0.0.1]:10024

I want to have a spamfilter/virusscanner, so I installed amavis.

After that i could send Emails.

I hope this works also for you.
