Update from Ubuntu 7.10 to 8.04

    Update from Ubuntu 7.10 to 8.04

    I've updated from my ubuntu server, ut after this i cant work so really good with ox, also i was using the hyperion installer to update the ox, now i have:
    The loginscreen is looking fine, but when i was login i become this error:
    Error 503: Temporarily Unavaible
    I was looking in the log for this event but there is no entry.
    Then i think, its not so wild, i can use the mails over imap, no on cyrus imap no password are accepted. In the Ubuntumachine are no users like the the testuser and my standartuser, i think there is a problem.
    Wich way is to go to resolv this.

      After changing the /etc/default/sasauthd
      from
      Code:
      START=yes
MECHANISMS="pam"
[CODE]
to
      START=yes
      MECHANISMS="pam sasldb shadow"
      NAME="saslauthd"
      OPTIONS="-c -m /var/run/saslauthd"
      #MECH_OPTIONS="[/CODE]
      i cxan use the cyrus as imap in the moment, but not the ox Webfrontend.

        same problem after backup and restore

        I've got the same problem. Did the backup with the ubuntu7.10 system and set up a new (virtual) machine Hardy Heron (8.04) with CE-installer. Everything fine (new user - mail configuration - sending/receiving and so on - it's all okay)

        After restoring (from the old ubuntu7.10 machine) the login doesn't work anymore (Error 503: Temporarily Unavaible).

        Are there any solutions for this problem?

          You should not use backups of other distributions or distribution releases, they also contain various configuration files which may be incompatible with the target system.
          This may be avoided by modifying the backup shell script at /opt/open-xchange/..

              Taken the hint from Martin into consideration I did the following changes to the script-file.

              file: /opt/open-xchange/libexec/backup.sh
              approximately row number 66

              I changed
