    Thunderbid and iCal Save Problem

    Hi,

This is atopic that seems to arisw regular...

The iCal implementations is buggy, evereywhere it seems.

I can read an Calender entry with Thunderbird/Lightning,
    with the URL
    Code:
    http://ox.../servlet/webdav.ical?enabledelete=yes
    to connect.

but on save the OX server says

    Code:
HTTP/1.1 400 HTTP method PUT is not supported by this URL
    Andnothing in the OX logs..

but PUT sounds to be the right way to put data on a webdav server...

    Hi,

this is not a bug but by intention because synchronizing a ical client is not yet possible yet. It IS possible to import ical via the user interface but a client like thunderbird/sunbird needs far more implementation effort to achieve proper synchronization. In short, the interface is read-only right now.
Anyway i'd be very interested in all kinds of ical bugs at the _latest_ version of Open-Xchange because we improved that stuff a lot and the old negative statements about that interface should be obsolete now.

    Greetings

I am experiencing the same problem with Sunbird, with OX release Build: 6.6.0-6606, 2008-09-03

      salut.

        Hi,

the ical interface of OX6.6 is still read-only.

        Greetings

Sad to hear that. A fully working sync inside Thunderbird (+Lightning) would be interesting for many clients of our company and ourselves. Hope there will be more alternatives to Outlook for OX.

We use 6.6.0-6610 for testing. Reading the cal works fine.
