log files location

I've got xchange on opensuse 10.2, no problem with installation and configuration as far as I'm aware, added user with the adduser_ox

adduser_ox --username=MYUSERNAME \
--passwd=MYPASSWD \
--name=NAME \
--sname=SNAME \
--maildomain=MY.DOMANE-NAME.COM \
--ox_timezone=Europe/London

with LDAP Success and SQL Success, therefore I guess it should be OK.
However, when I try to log in using MYUSERNAME, I got error:
ERROR: Authentification failed

I know, difficult to say why, so I'd like to check the logs at first, but I can't find them. I could find apache and tomcat log files, but is there any log file for the open-xchange?

Hi, take a look at /var/log/open-xchange. Please also consider the tomcat "localhost*" logfiles.

thanks for reply.
I haven't got that file. Obviously I was looking in that location. Probably open-xchange didn't creat it or whatever. So I created the /var/log/open-xchange as empty file, restarted rcgroupware, rcwebmail, rcsessiond, but no new record in the log file.

I found that I can change in system.properties the loglevel from default (5) to debug (10), but I still can see where the log is!

any idea?

got the log files in /var/lib/open-xchange/log/
