open-xchange with microsoft exchange

Will open-xchange have any problem using microsoft exchange if I log in to my imap account on a webserver through https? I'm just wondering about compatibility? Would I be better off just setting up a mail server and open-xchange all on the same server instead ?

Well you can give it a try. Usually you shouldn't have problems as long as your mail backend speaks IMAP. MS Exchange should do so. However, never tested it so far but it would be nice to know if it works.
