How can I subscribe Google Mail Contacts?

I am trying to subscribe a contact folder with GoogleMail in order to get my contacts from my Google account. The result of this operation is an error:
Fehlermeldung: Dienst ist nicht verfügbar (SUB-0008, something else)

Hi Carsten,

i just subscribed to my GMail contacts without a problem. Could it be that the cause is, like the error message says, a temporary outage of GMail or some remote service?

No - it seems, that this is specific to our instance. I had the problem again a minute ago. Is there anything I have to specifically enable on the server for Google Mail?
