    Users between some domains

    Hi;
    if OX hosting edition deployed and it has two domains: domain1 and domain2. is it possible that users of domaine1 see the users of domain2 (for e-mail adressing , shared documents , shared calendar etc ...)
    Best Regards.

    Hi,

    you can have users with different mail domains in one context. If you have two contexts (one per mail domain) your users however cannot directly access data from another context.

        Hi,

        from an OX perspective, E-Mail domains are just a part of E-Mail addresses (user@domain.tld), not some kind of boundary. OX user accounts are organized within contexts to define their "scope". Each user account within a context can have a different E-Mail address and E-Mail domain.

          hi;

          For exemple we have this organisation:

          user1----->user1@domain1----->quota_user
          user2----->user2@domain1----->quota_vip

          user3----->user3@domain2----->quota_user
          user4----->user4@domain2----->quota_vip

          how we can do in order to share document and contact between all this users (how many context )??

          best regards

            Hi,

            you can only share stuff between users that are in the same context, so you would have to create user1 - user4 within the same OX context. The E-Mail domain is not relevant for OX.

                Hi,

                sorry i'm not sure what you mean by "proprieties of a context". A context is used to separate users from each other.
                For example: If you're a hosting provider you want to sell packages of OX accounts to different customers. Of course the customers don't know each other and must not see any content of other customers. So you create a context with 5 users of Customer A and another context with 5 users of Customer B. Since contexts are not related to E-Mail domains, you can have users with different Mail domains within the same context.

                Greetings

                  Hi,

                  I'm verry sorry ; but i have other questions:

                  1. The quotas of context is it shared between filestore and mail store ?
                  2. Can The quotas of context be extended ?
                  3. Can some users have differents quotas in the same context?

                    Hi,

                    1. The Filestore quota is shared for one context, the mail store quota is defined on an account-level by the IMAP server.
                    2. All Quotas are flexible and can be changed afterwards.
                    3. Different E-Mail quotas within one contexts are possible. Filestore quota however is shared.

                    Hope that helps!
