  • Graphic Email Banner

    Hello,

i would like to know if it is possible to put an email banner into or under ones signature, but as a graphic which is forwarding to a website. If yes, how does this works?

    Thank you

Try to format the signature with HTML.

      Hi Chilenge,

if you have a link to a picture (or any other resource to be included) into a HTML formatted email, the probability of SPAM tags rises about 75%

So if you want your mails to be banned/deleted/tagged you can try that.

Else you can use an old fashioned ascii formatted picture - that means a programm translates each dot into a character. But this will make your email bigger and people will hate you.
      BUT:
If you have pictures in the mail - like a newsletter - it will be marked as possible danger and maybe marked as spam by most clients. If you do this in the signature, every mail you send is marked like this and in the end you will be marked by several serers as spammer, end at a RBL list and most servers will reject mails from you.

To conclude: don't include spam-like stuff into the signature.

        Hi,

i partly agree to popeye, but some companies have rules for e-mails, for example a company logo or a fancy signature. To add HTML signatures, some tool like altermime would be useful, it will attach a signature automatically to every mail that leaves the mailserver.

        Greetings
