    This admin tool is great, but it would be better if it allowed search users by their "User name" (login name).

    I'm not a programmer, so next suggestion may be wrong.

    Looking around your code and OX6 RMI, i see a function you can use to get username from an User object and include in the search:
    http://software.open-xchange.com/OX6...#getName%28%29

    \OXadminGUI\src\java\at\sciencesoft\controller\use r.java
    Code:
    com.openexchange.admin.rmi.dataobjects.User u = ulist[i];
    StringBuffer buf = new StringBuffer();
    buf.append(u.getId());
    buf.append('\n');
    [B]buf.append(u.getName());
    buf.append('\n');[/B]
    buf.append(u.getDisplay_name());
    Thanks

    Hi!

    The oxadmin master password is used to crypt the password of the context admin to avoid plain text passwords. The GUI itselfs needs this context admin password to do context related jobs like user creation. So only after a login as an oxadmin master the passwords of the context admins are available in memory. So the this strange behaviour is as designed.

    There is a problem with the login as oxadmin.

    When ever I go to the login page, there ain't no checkbox to select that I want to login as context admin, so I always have to use the oxadminmaster user.
    BUT after I logout as oxadminmaster then there is a checkbox at the login form for the context admin.

    Could this be fixed somehow?

    Thanks

    Session Problem zwischen Admin und Frontend

    Hallo Peter,

    ich habe mal ein wenig mit den Cookies experimentiert und bin dabei vielleicht auf eine Lösung oder hoffentlich wenigstens auf einen Lösungsansatz ;-) des Problems "Session-Teilung bei gleichzeitigem Login in OX6 und OX-Admin" gekommen.
    Wenn ich von Deinem Tool den JSESSION-Cookie-Pfad von / auf /servlet/webserver/ ändere, dann beeinflussen sich die beiden Logins nicht mehr. Fehler konnte ich bisher auch noch finden.

    Gruß Micha

    I made some tests with my OXGUI against OX version 6.18.0-Rev7. It seems that the acutal OXGUI works with the new version.

    One problem was found - getAccessCombinationName() (Menu Context) returns NULL - right mask. You can reset this value to a defined value (=ALL) - but I am not sure, if this a real problem.

    still no working, more problems

    Well i tried that and it doesn´t change the login interface. Always the same.

    Even more, for whatever reason something broke even further. Login in with oxadminmaster, when i try to SET the default context, trying to view user fails with and error, ox-admin...log saying something about oxadmin user login fail even though i logged in with oxadminmaster at that point. But selecting other context, example.com, as same login in with oxadminmaster, works with no problems..

    More in one video i made..

    Hi!

    GUI Release v0.1.9 (Stand: 2010/02/11)

    According your screenshot - this is the OXadmin login screen.

    1.) Make a login with your OXadmin account data selected during OX installation
    2.) This is the important step - make a logoff inside the OXGUI - menu logout
    3.) Select an menu of the GUI - the GUI will enforce a login. Now you should see the extended login screen.

    Ok man, where did that one came from?

    CTXAdmin and all that i don´t have in my Peter interface

    At all time i only have OXAdmin and Passwort as shown in attached picture
    Log in with oxadminmaster ( is it case sesitive? has to be OXadminMaster?? ), log out and have the same options to log in again

    You have a different version of oxadmin?

    This is mine

    Hi!

    I am not sure if we discuss the same problem.

    Login as OXadminMaster. Do a logout. Reenter the login screen.

    Now you will see a extended login screen - CTXadmin login

    This login doesn't work?

    The OXgui doesn't store the PWD of the OXadminMaster in file system. But this PWD is nessaray to access the OX API (Credentials). Therefore one login as OXadminMaster is nessary to get this PWD.

    OX Admin fails

    But i can´t login at first with oxadmin user, it fails

    The only one who can get in is the oxadminmaster

    From the terminal i can get in with oxadmin
    #/opt/open-xchange/sbin/listuser --contextid 1 --adminuser oxadmin --adminpass rootroot
    Id Name Displayname Email
    2 oxadmin Context Admin oxadmin@example.com
    3 testuser Test User testuser@example.com
    5 testadmin testadmin testadmin@example.com
    6 cyrus Cyrus User cyrus@example.com

    Using, in the web interface of Peters OX ADMIN, the same oxadmin and password rootroot it tells me
    OXadmin or password is wrong!

    Danke Peter!

    Hi!

    At first you must login as OX Admin. The ContextAdmin pwd is encrypted with the help of the OX Admin PWD. Do a log out - now you will be able to login to a certain OX context.
